Introduction

YMCA activities in Gopalgonj YMCA started in the late Nineteen Century under the initiative of Mathura Nath Bose, as a outreach program of Calcutta YMCA, however these activities continued for quite a long time even after his death as his sons continued the activities until 1946. In the event of the partition of the country and subsequently their migration to India lead to the discontinuance of the YMCA activities in Gopalgonj.
