As a part of Youth Activities at local level, a Youth conference was chalked out at Foiljana YMCA on  April 27,  2001. "Youth to face the Challenges of the 21^st Century" was chosen as the main theme of the daylong Conference with the participation of about sixty youths. The main speaker of the conference was Mr. Walter Costa, Education Officer of CARITAS in Rajshahi region.

Mr. Costa said that the Youths have an important role in the 21^st century. They should devote themselves to build the country happy & prosperous. They can oppose against injustice & abominable practices and ensure Human Rights in the society.

The participants put forward the following suggestions through their group discussion.
