The Sunflower Health Clinic of Foiljana YMCA has set out its journey to provide free medical services in the locality of Foiljana. The President of Foiljana YMCA took the chair and the local Priest Rev. Paul Rozario joined as Chief Guest in the Inauguration Ceremony on May 13, 2001. The Board of Directors & Members of Foiljana YMCA also attended the Ceremony. The Ceremony was conducted by Mr. Makhon Costa, General Secretary of Foiljana YMCA.

Foiljana is a remote village under the district of Pabna. The inhabitants of rural areas are afflicted with malnutrition and various diseases. Though ensuring sound health in a country like Bangladesh with so vast a population and poverty is undoubtedly a gigantic task but it can be possible only by making concerted efforts through the participation of everyone in the society. In this connection, it is praiseworthy that Foiljana YMCA has been steeping up to uphold its social responsibility for the betterment of common people. It is estimated that this program will provide health facility to 5,000 people who are most neglected and deprived from health facilities in Foiljana along with the villages nearby. A group of YMCA well wishers in UK is financially supporting this health program.
