Expressing solidarity with the whole Nation, Dhaka YMCA observed the ‘Ekushe’ & the International Mother Language Day with due solemnity and befitting manner. In remembrance of the day, the Bangladesh Christian Association organized a rally at the dawn of 21^st February. Carrying its own banner, the Dhaka YMCA members mustered up at a local community centre to join the rally. A combined barefoot procession was brought out to the Central Shaheed Minar for paying tribute to the martyrs who kissed the dust in 1952’s language movement. The procession plodded on some thoroughfares of the city and ended by offering floral wreaths at the monument.
