MICRO FINANCE & SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

TRAINING PROGRAM

A Training Program on "Micro Finance & Social Development" was held on 19-21th April, 2004, organized by the National Council of YMCAs of Bangladesh for the staff members of our Community Organizing Program. Total 15 staff members from different Local YMCAs participated at the Training.

The main thrust of the Training Program was how they could develop their communities through effective Micro Credit Program within their limited resources. The major components of the Training program were:

(1) Poverty and Good Governance

(2) Grey areas of the Micro Credit Program operation & its solution

(3) Participatory Planning

(4) Non-Formal Education & its significance

(5) Production & Marketing

(6) Role of a Facilitator.

Mr. Rupan Roy Chowdhury and Mr. Arjun Kumar are from Technical Assistance for Rural Development (TARD) conducted the Training Program while Mr. Stephen Samaddar, Program Secretary of the National Council organized the Training Program.
