Dinajpur YMCA Observes International Volunteer Day

On, 5^th December 2002, different Local YMCAs of Bangladesh marked the annual International Volunteer Day (IVD) since the day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1985.

As a part of it, Dinajpur YMCA observed the day by arranging a workshop chaired by its President Mr. John Marandi. Around 75 youths attended the workshop. The Programme Officer of Dinajpur Regional CARITAS Mr. Abraham Aynd was the keynote speaker of the occasion. He expounded the meaning of Volunteerism to the participants that helped them to feel inclination for voluntary works. Mr. Subal Hasda, General Secretary of Dinajpur YMCA conducted the workshop.
