With a view to develop skills in report writing, the National Council of YMCAs of Bangladesh organized a two days intensive training on Report Writing. 11 selected Representatives from ten local YMCA movements attended the training on October 7-8 at the YMCA Training Center, Savar.  

 

The training was facilitated by Saifuddin Sabuj, Radio Veritas Asia, Senior Producer Cum Bangladesh Correspondent, Porimol Palma, Staff Reporter of The Daily Star, Aldrick Biswas, Executive Editor of Samabarta and Duncan Chowdhury, National General Secretary of Bangladesh YMCAs. During the training, the trainees were given input on primary concept of Report and Feature Writing, organizing Press Conferences, Importance of Media, Photography and tips for good writing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 “We are living in a Digital Era so we have to be smart in branding the YMCA through media and modern technologies. So communication skills should be developed” Duncan Chowdhury told the trainees.  All the participants were urged to write the truth to build a just society.

 

The participants focused on sending regular reports and news of their respective Local YMCAs from now onwards for ‘Prochesta’  the Bangla Newsletter of the to National Council. This training was coordinated by Bipul Alite Gonsalves, Executive Secretary for programs and assisted by Tapan Karmakar, Associate Secretary of the National Council of YMCAs of Bangladesh.
