Northern YMCAs Observes International Aboriginal Day |

The International Aboriginal Day was observed befittingly on 20th October 2000, at Bogra YMCA through the joint initiative taken by Bogra, Birisiri, Dinajpur and Edilpur YMCA. Bogra YMCA hosted the ceremony with the assistance of the National Council of YMCAs of Bangladesh. The President & the National General Secretary of the National Council of YMCAs of Bangladesh along with other National & Local leaders of YMCA were present at the occasion. Apart from them, many guests of light & leading also attended the ceremony. The speakers expressed their opinion to take proper initiative for the sake of forming an Aboriginal Cell on behalf of the National Council of YMCAs of Bangladesh. They also made a clarion call to expand YMCA activities for overall development of the Aboriginal. The daylong ceremony began by bringing out a colorful rally with a huge participation of more than a thousand people in the morning. The procession cheered almost all the people up in the streets. The ceremony came to an end with an attractive & gladdening cultural show in the evening. During the day, the individual style & culture presented by the Aborigines, let everybody remembered that various rich cultural heritages remain concealed in every corner of Bangladesh and the country stands on it. Today Bangladesh hold its head high in the earth with all of its races. |
